ASIWAJU (DR.) MICHAEL OLAWALE-COLE

FOUNDER & CEO

Asiwaju (Dr.) Michael Olawale-Cole had served the Lagos State Government of Nigeria as Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development and later as Honourable Commissioner for Works and Transport. He is from the Royal Family of Toluwalade Osundoye Ruling House of Ojota Kingdom, Lagos State and the Apena Ruling House of Isolo also in Lagos State.

He has been involved in the insurance industry since 1980 and as an astute practitioner in the insurance industry, He was the Past National President and Chairman, Governing Board of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), the umbrella body for all licensed insurance brokers in Nigeria. 

Based on his outstanding performance as an insurance broking service provider, he has won many awards among which are the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) award in appreciation of his support and immense contribution to the 2000 Nigeria International Insurance Summit (NIIS). IN 2001, he was also recoghized with a Champion Insurance Day Award for his outstanding contribution to the development of the insurance industry in Nigeria. 

The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers also honoured him with the Veteran’s Award in 2005 and by the year 2010, he won the appreciation award from the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers for his Chairmanship of the paper titled “Insurance Industry in the face of current Financial Reforms.”

He is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Lagos, South West London College, England and All Saints University of America, New York. He holds the Fellowships of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Institute of Directors, UK; Certified Institute of Management, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered); Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria and Chartered Management Consultant. 

He is a past District Governor of Rotary International, District 9110 Nigeria and is happily married to Chief (Mrs.) Adebola Olawale-Cole and they are blessed with four children and grandchildren. 

ABIODUN OLAWALE-COLE (B. Engr, MSC) 

Executive Director 

Abiodun Olawale-Cole stands out as an accomplished strategist with a commendable academic background from Queen Mary College, University of London, where he acquired both his B.Eng. and Msc degrees. His commitment o professional growth led him to further his studies in 2024 with a Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management, a step towards achieving his chartered status in the field. Boasting a dynamic career that spans over 16 years, Abiodun has played pivotal roles in renowned research and strategy firms within the UK and Nigeria. His noteworthy contributions to Ipsos Mori and AC Nielsen earned him accolades for pioneering new business units and steering teams that consistently set benchmarks in client service and new business development. 

Abiodun’s industry expertise is comprehensive, covering FMCG, Banking, Telecom, Marine sectors, and even pioneering efforts in the Aviation Technology landscape with the launch of Vetifly. Now at the Colenson Group of Companies, he brings an insatiable zeal for unparallel client service and a rich tapestry of experience in business development, poised to navigate the firm through the evolving insurance sector.

Beyond his corporate accomplishments, Abiodun’s leadership transcend to community and sport development. as a young leader in the Rotary Club of Lekki Golden, Lagos, and as the President of the Nigerian Rugby League Association, he exemplifies a commitment to social responsibility and the upliftment of sports in the nation. His role in these organization underlines his all-rounded persona, reflecting a blend of professional excellence and community involvement, crucial for the contemporary corporate lead.

KABIYESI OLOTA OBA PROFESSOR ADEYEMI ABDUKABIR OBALANLEGE Ph.D MCIPR MPRII FHEA 

Non Executive Director

(Lanlege Ekun II) joins Colenson Brokers Nig. Limited as a NonExecutive Director, bringing a wealth of experience and distinguished leadership. Professor Obalanlege is a renowned academic and professional with significant contribution to journalism and mass communication. His extensive background includes roles as a professor and lecturer at various prestigious institutions, including the University of East London, University of Lincoln, Ogun State Polytechnic, and Lagos State.

University. He currently serves asaprofessor at Crescent University, Abeokuta. In addition to his academic achievements, Kabiyesi has a robust professional background in journalism, having worked with prominent newspapers such as The Mail Newspaper, The Republic Newspapers, This day Newspaper, and City Vanguard Newspaper in Ireland. His expertise extends to media management as the owner of Food International Magazine in the UK. As the Chairman of the Awori Obas Forum in Ogun State, Kabiyesi is also a dedicated humanitarian, a member of Rotary International, and a Paul Harris Fellow. His leadership and community service have galvanized support for numerous developmental projects. Kabiyesi’s strategic vision and leadership will be valuable to Colenson Brokers Nig. Limited, providing insights and guidance to enhance our corporate governance and strategic direction.

He is happily married to Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege (Nee Gbobaniyi) and blessed with two sons, Dr. (Engr.) Adewale Mustapha Obalanlege Ph.D and Engineer Adetobi Hamed Obalanlege.

KAYODE FALOWO B.Sc. MBA (Hons) 

Non Executive Director Mr. Kayode Falowo

He the Chairman and lead promoter of Greenwich Merchant Bank. He is a seasoned Investment Banker with nearly 40 years post graduate experience and practice in Finance. He holds a B.Sc. Hons) in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife), Osun State in 1982 and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Benin. 

He was a Council Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and once served as the Chairman of the Capital Market Committee on Products and Business Development. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) Plc. Kayode Falowo is an active member of numerous professional and industry associations. He is a distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, a Fellow of the Association of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Managers, a Fellow of the Association of Pension Funds of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria, and a Fellow of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria. He is also a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Institute of Directors (IOD) Nigeria, the Institute of Management Consultants, the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Nigerian Society of Engineers.He has in the recent past served as Chairman of the Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria (AIHN), a member of the Technical Committee of the National Council on Privatisation, member of the sub-committee on the Extractive Industry of the Bureau of Public Enterprises and a member of the National Bond Steering Committee. He is a past President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian – British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC).Mr. Falowo is the Chairman of Greenwich Registrars and Data Solutions Limited, Greenwich Trustees Limited and Meyer Plc. He sits on the Board of the Olusegun Agagu Foundation, the Board of Trustees of the University College Hospital Foundation Ibadan, the Ondo State Cancer Foundation and the Greenwich Foundation. Mr. Falowo is a Paul Harris Fellow and a major donor of the Rotary International.

He is also a Member of the Metropolitan Club, Ikeja Golf Club, the Lagos Motorboat Club, Capital Club and the Ikoyi Club, Lagos.

ADENIYI IBRAHEEM MAKANJUOLA (B.Sc., M.Sc.) 

Non-Executive Director 

Adeniyi Ibraheem Makanjuola, born on February 16, 1980, is a visionary Nigerian entrepreneur and executive known for his strategic role in transforming the aviation and waste management sectors. With a rich educational background, he holds a degree in Financial Economics from the University of Essex and an MSc in Development Economics from University College London. This foundation paved the way for Makanjuola’s innovative approaches to business and investment.

As the Chairman of Caverton Helicopters and Group CEO of both Raven Resources Group and Visionscape International Holdings, Adeniyi Makanjuola has been pivotal in identifying and bridging systemic gaps in competitive markets. His leadership at Caverton Helicopters, a cornerstone of the Caverton Group, has been instrumental in its growth to become a dominant player in Nigeria andSub-Saharan Africa’s aviation industry. The company, co-founded by Makanjuola, is renowned for its expansive fleet of modern helicopters and its substantial contributions to Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, thanks to Makanjuola’s foresight and execution of strategic contracts with major oil companies. 

Furthermore, Makanjuola has played a significant role in environmental management through Visionscape Sanitation Solutions, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable development. His directorial positions in various enterprises, including energy trading and sanitation, underscore his broad influence across different industries. Despite his extensive business engagements, Makanjuola maintains a low public profile, focusing on his enterprises and investments across Nigeria, the Middle East, and Europe. 

KOLAPO KOLA-DAISI (B.Sc., MBA, ACCA, ACIB) 

Non-Executive Director 

Kolapo Kola-Daisi is a distinguished finance and banking executive with strong background in economic and financial disciplines. Born on August 12, 1978, into the prestigious Kola-Daisi family of Ibadan, known for their contributions to philanthropy, education, health, and commerce, Kolapo has leveraged his heritage and education to make significant impacts in both the financial sector and the political arena.

Kolapo’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Manchester, UK, where he laid the foundation for his impressive career. He became a Chartered Accountant at 25 after qualifying in August 2004, becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Further solidifying his expertise, he earned a Chartered Banker MBA in 2015 from the University of Bangor, Wales, and holds associate memberships with the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Nigeria and in Scotland.

His career trajectory in finance began in the First Bank of Nigeria, London, and progressed through significant roles at Arram Berlyn Gardner, KPMG International Limited in London, and Strand Capital Partners Limited, among others. In 2012, he joined Heritage Bank Limited, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership as the Group Head of Performance Management and later as Treasurer,contributing strategically to the bank’s direction.

Kolapo is married to Abisola Kola-Daisi, a known businesswoman and fashion connoisseur, and together, they have three children. His life and career are a testament to the powerful combination of a rich familial legacy, robust education, and a strong commitment to both professional excellence and public service.

ADEWALE SUNDAY ADENIYI B.Sc, MBA (Finance), ACIIN
General Manager (Client Service)

Adewale Sunday Adeniyi is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN). He holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology and an MBA in Finance, both from Lagos State University, Ojo.

He began his professional career in 1998 as the Marketing/Operations Manager at AFMEC Nigeria Ltd, Port Harcourt. In 1999, he joined Goldlink Insurance Company Limited as a Management Trainee in the Ibadan Branch and later moved to the Head Office, where he rose to the position of Assistant Manager (Life and Pension).

He continued his career at CrystaLife Assurance Ltd as a Deputy Manager under the mentorship of Mrs. Seyi Ifaturoti, and later joined ARM Life Plc in 2013. There, he served as Head of Retail and Corporate Claims before becoming Head of the Annuity Department in 2014.

In 2017, Adewale joined Colenson Brokers Nigeria Ltd as Assistant General Manager. Through dedication, competence, and leadership, he rose to his current position as General Manager, Client Services.

With nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry, Adewale is highly regarded for his diligence, attention to detail, marketing acumen, and leadership skills. His expertise spans key areas of life insurance operations including underwriting, claims administration, and client relationship management, making him a distinguished professional in the field.

Peace Princess Oyekanmi, HND (Distinction), AICRM, PGDE, ACIPM (In View)

Assistant Human Resources Manager

Peace Princess Oyekanmi is a Human Resources professional with several years of experience in human capital management, talent acquisition, employee relations, learning and development, and performance management. She has built expertise in driving employee engagement, developing high-performing teams, and implementing people-centred strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness. She is currently pursuing her Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (ACIPM), demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence.

She holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication with Distinction, is an Associate of the Institute of Customer Relationship Management (AICRM), and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (English Language) from the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) in affiliation with the University of Ilorin. She has also completed professional certifications in Business Analysis for HR Leaders, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Forms, n8n Automation, and other workplace productivity programmes.

Peace is currently the Assistant Human Resources Manager at Colenson Brokers Nigeria Limited, where she supports strategic HR initiatives, learning and development, employee engagement, and performance management, contributing to the Company’s goal of building a high-performance culture and sustainable business growth.

Tajudeen Tijani, B.Sc. Economics, ACTI, FCA
Chief Finance Officer

Tajudeen Tijani is an expert in insurance accounting with nearly 20 years of experience spanning insurance brokerage, financial management, and corporate administration. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Before joining the Colenson Group, Mr. Tijani held key leadership positions as Head of Finance and Administration in the following organizations:

  • Union Commercial Insurance Brokers Limited
  • Standard Insurance Consultants Limited
  • Glanvills Enthoven Insurance Brokers Limited
  • First Spring Insurance Brokers Limited

In addition to his work in the insurance sector, he has also worked with the University of Ibadan and served as a consultant to various organizations, providing strategic guidance in internal controls and taxation.

Akinyele Moses Tolani, B.Sc. (Hons.), ACIIN

Assistant Manager – Technical Underwriting

Akinyele Moses Tolani is an insurance professional with over six years of experience in insurance brokerage, underwriting, risk management, claims administration, and corporate insurance advisory. He has built extensive expertise in structuring and managing insurance programmes across general insurance, life and health insurance, aviation, oil and gas, drone insurance, and other specialised risks.

An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN), Akinyele holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Insurance from Lagos State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management at Joseph Ayo Babalola University. He combines strong technical expertise with sound commercial insight to deliver innovative and cost-effective risk management solutions for corporate clients.

He began his career with LIB Insurance Brokers Limited, where he progressed to the role of Technical Underwriter (Team Lead), before joining Mascot Insurance Brokers Limited as an Underwriting Executive. He is currently the Assistant Manager – Technical Underwriting at Colenson Brokers Nigeria Limited, where he leads underwriting activities, manages complex corporate risks, coordinates claims, and provides strategic technical support for high-value insurance programmes.

Damilola Williams

Assistant Manager Underwriting/ Client Service

Damilola Williams is a dynamic insurance executive with robust experience in underwriting and client services. She holds a BSc in Insurance from Joseph Ayo Babalola University and is a graduate of the Insurance programme at Lagos State Polytechnic. Her Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) qualification is currently in view.

She began her professional career in 2017 at Brightways Insurance Brokers Limited, where she developed strong technical skills and a deep understanding of the insurance industry. Over the years, she steadily grew in responsibility and expertise, eventually transitioning to Colenson Brokers Nigeria Limited, where she now serves as the Underwriting & Client Services Executive.

She has also undertaken several industry trainings and professional development programs, which have strengthened her expertise in policy underwriting, risk evaluation, and client relationship management. Known for her attention to detail, proactive approach, and commitment to excellence, Damilola consistently delivers tailored insurance solutions that meet clients’ needs and uphold industry best practices.

MICHAEL ABAYOMI OJUGBELE, ACA

Finance Executive

Michael Abayomi Ojugbele, ACA, is a Finance Executive at Colenson Brokers Nigeria Limited, where he supports the Company’s finance function by contributing to the preparation of financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable processes, performing reconciliations, and assisting with cash flow monitoring and budgeting activities. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, he helps ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the Company’s financial operations while supporting compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

His core expertise includes financial reporting, accounts receivable management, treasury support, budgeting and financial analysis, and financial controls. He is committed to delivering accurate financial information and supporting sound financial decision-making through diligence, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Accounting with Second Class Upper Division from Olabisi Onabanjo University and an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Business Administration with Upper Credit from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and has further enhanced his professional expertise through training in Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis and Data Analysis.
